I’m a Hackney girl, so, if my weekends aren’t filled scouting UK and overseas festivals for next year’s Latitude artists, I tend to stay local and cycle over to Broadway Market. But my Fridays always begin in Covent Garden where the Latitude offices are based, right opposite the stunning Royal Opera House.

On my way in to the office I will grab a coffee to go from L'Atelier (31 Stoke Newington Road, London N16 8BJ) in Dalston, a great little French cafe which does the best pastries. I’m a yoga fanatic so will try and pop over for an Afternoon Yoga session at Yotopia (13 Mercer Street, London WC2H 9QJ, 0333 405 8888, yotopia.co.uk), it’s the perfect way to ease myself into the weekend.

Programming the music line-up for Latitude means that I am never off -duty and most Friday nights you will find me at a gig. There are so many brilliant venues in London and you can always rely on The Barbican (Silk Street, London EC2Y 8DS, 020 7638 4141, barbican.org.uk), Roundhouse (Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8EH, 0300 678 9222, roundhouse.org.uk) and Oval Space (29-32 The Oval, London E2 9DT, 020 7183 4422, ovalspace.co.uk) for inspiring programming.

Cafe Oto (18-22 Ashwin Street, London E8 3DL, 020 7923 1231, cafeoto.co.uk) in Dalston is an absolute gem and one of my all time favourite music venues. It has a really intimate atmosphere and the line-up is always adventurous. Plus they have an amazing range of Japanese spirits and whiskies! I always come away buzzing with ideas for Latitude.

Saturday

I usually start with a visit to Stretch Yoga (6 Ada Street, London E8 4QU, 07909 511174, stretch-london.com) for one of Carl’s classes (brutal and energising yet somehow still calming), with a cheeky stop- off at Climpson and Sons, above  (10 Broadway Market Mews, London E8 4TS, 020 7254 7199, climpsonandsons.com) for coffee en route. Hub, below (2A Ada Street, Broadway Market, London E8 4QU, 020 7923 9354, hubshop.co.uk) is an amazing little clothing boutique, they recently opened next door, so sometimes I can’t help but pop in there for a browse. I will then mosey down through Broadway Market picking up treats and getting inspiration. There’s a lovely little sustainable boutique at the other end of the market called 69b (69b Broadway Market, London E8 4PH, 020 7249 9655, sixtynineb.com) where I’ve picked up more pieces over the last couple of years.

Once I’ve exhausted Broadway Market (or it’s exhausted me!) it’s then on to either  Look Mum No Hands, below  (125–127 Mare Street, London E8 3RH, 07985 200472, lookmumnohands.com) - their scrambled eggs and homemade baked beans are yum - or Railroad (120-122 Morning Lane, Hackney E9 6LH, 020 8985 2858, railroadhackney.co.uk) - OMG their baked eggs - for breakfast and more coffee. I’m pretty sure they both use bread from E5 bakehouse (Arch 395, Mentmore Terrace, London E8 3PH, 020 8525 2890, e5bakehouse.com) around the corner, whose Hackney Wild loaf is a regular weekend pick-up for our household too.

This weekend threw in extras as I had family up for the weekend. On Saturday night we went to Cadogan Hall (5 Sloane Terrace, London SW1X 9DQ, cadoganhall.com) for a One Piece Symphony, which was an incredible experience. The show was great and loads of people dressed up as characters, it was cool to see so many people excited.

Sunday

I love the  yummy breakfast at The Route in Dalston (Gaumont Tower, Dalston Square, London E8 3BQ, 0 20 7249 6202, caferoute.co.uk,  and a big fan of  the Science Museum (Exhibition Road, London SW7 2DD, 0870 870 4868, sciencemuseum.org.uk): Drawn By Light, The Royal Photographic Society exhibition at the Science Museum, is  beautiful and completely inspiring.

For lunch I’ll cycle over to the Crooked Billet, above  (84 Upper Clapton Road, London E5 9JP, 020 3058 1166, thecrookedbillet.co.uk) for an excellent roast and Bloody Marys – great for celebrations like my housemate, Bronte’s, recent  birthday.
