Tart London is owned by Lucy Carr- Ellison and Jemima Jones – who specialise in onsite cooking for fashion shoots from their pop-up kitchen.

A mutual obsession with food brought the pair together and they have sinced worked for Versace, YSL, Givenchy, Stella McCartney, Valentino, W magazine, Gucci and many others.

Our perfect weekend is going to the country, to escape from our hectic London weeks, but if in the city we fit in as much socialising as possible

Friday

On Fridays we are usually working in  a studio in East London,  so we like to hit up a stiff cocktail at Coppa (Hothouse Rooftop, Martello Street, London, E8 3QW,020 8985 2683).  They have a roof terrace which has been perfect this summer.

Then we walk down to Rita's (175 Mare St, London, E8 3RH, 020 3096 1530, ritasbaranddining.com) which is owned by our friends Jackson Boxer and Gabrielle Price.  if we ‘re not in East London we’ll head to another of their places –Brunswick House  (30 Wandsworth Rd, London, SW8 2LG, 020 7720 2926, brunswickhouse.co)  – one of our favourites. Their slow roast duck is amazing especially with   a side of Green chilli Mac & Cheese  –  naughty but worth it.

We then join our mates at The Bleach Bar (428 Kingsland Rd London E8 4AA, bleachlondon.co.uk) – where we are doing a pop up - to tipple the night away on our creations – our favourites are the punchy fresh pineapple, chilli and ginger cocktail (Jemima) and the Blackberry frozen margarita with jalapeno tequila (Lucy).

Saturday

Waking up in Ladbroke Grove, we take our hangovers to Granger (175 Westbourne Grove, London W11 2SB, 020 7229 9111, grangerandco.com) where we nurse it with smoothies, coffee, pancakes and eggs.

We then walk down Portobello road, in and out of the antique shops, which takes us to Portobello Market (Portobello Rd, London, W10 5TA, 020 7727 7684, portobelloroad.co.uk) where we often pick up bits and pieces for Tart.

On the way we also look for spices at The Spice Shop (1 Blenheim Crescent, London W11 2EE, 020 7221 4448, thespiceshop.co.uk) –– a real little treasure of a place. We end up at our number one bookstore Lutyens and Rubinstein (21 Kensington Park Rd, London W11 2EU, 020 7229 1010, lutyensrubinstein.co.uk).

We then whip off to The River Café (Thames Wharf, Rainville Rd, London W6 9HA, 020 7386 4200, rivercafe.co.uk) where, without fail, we will start with a Bellini at the bar and then have a large bowl of pasta, delicious homemade ice cream.

We then stroll down the river, letting the fresh air blow away the cobwebs. We normally take in an exhibition, currently the Anselm Kiefer at the Royal Academy is great (Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BD, 020 7300 8000, royalacademy.org.uk, open until December).

We quite often meet friends or family at the Primrose Bakery (69 Gloucester Avenue, London NW1 8LD, 020 7483 4222. primrose-bakery.co.uk) or a cupcake and a pot of tea, before walking up Primrose Hill for an amazing view of London, which never gets boring.

Not far from here is The Chiltern Firehouse (1 Chiltern St, Marylebone, London, W1U 7PA, 020 7073 7676, chilternfirehouse.com),  so we pop down for a cocktail or two and pick at their nibbles, the crab doughnuts are a perfect treat.

Then it's off for a fun dinner with the girls at Roka (37 Charlotte St, London, 020 7580 6464, rokarestaurant.com) Roka for us really ticks all the boxes, the cocktails (try the lychee martinis) and wine are delicious, the sushi is inspired and exciting, and it has a real New York buzz to it. It's also where we met in our late teens.

Sunday

The Queens Park Farmers' Market (Salusbury Primary School, Salusbury Road, London NW6 6RG, lfm.org.uk) is a lovely way to spend your Sunday morning, it’s where we stock up on goodies for the week and come with new exciting seasonal recipes.

Michelle Marshall

Then on to Petersham Nurseries (Petersham Rd, Richmond, Surrey TW10 7AG, 020 8940 5230, petershamnurseries.com) where you can forget the busy city life and go for a long walk in Richmond Park and do some deer spotting – almost like being in the country.

Try cocktails and snacks created by the TART girls at their pop-up at the Bleach London bar (428 Kingsland Rd London E8 4AA, bleachlondon.co.uk)

Open until Saturday October 11 from 6pm-2am.
