Friday

KX

If we aren’t having lunch at The Good Life Eatery (59 Sloane Avenue, London, SW3 3DH, goodlifeeatery.com), we will pop into KX (151 Draycott Avenue, Chelsea, London SW3 3AL, kxlife.co.uk, 020 7584 5333) for a bite. Allessandro, the head chef, is a true talent.

A good friend of ours owns Peyote (13 Cork Street, Mayfair, London W1S 3NS, peyoterestaurant.com, 020 7409 1300) so we might head there next. They have the best collection of tequila in the whole of London, and their tacos are amazing. Tequila and tacos – it doesn’t really get better than that.

Saturday

Saturdays usually involve a quick lunch downstairs in The Good Life Eatery kitchen in between work meetings. My go-to is the new Indochine Salad with Teriyaki Grilled Salmon or the Quinoa Burgers, and a couple of juices throughout the day of course.

If we don’t eat something off the menu, then we love to experiment with different ingredients to make something special. Sometimes Shirin will concoct something at home at night and bring it in for lunch. Yas is not an easy mouth to please, so it’s fun to make things for her to try.

A fave spot for dinner has to be Dinings (22 Harcourt Street, London W1H 4HH, dinings.co.uk, 020 7723 0666). It’s a faultless mix of tapas and sushi and the flavours are ridiculous. Our must have dish would have to be the sea bass carpaccio with truffle salsa.

Sunday

La Petite Maison (53-54 Brook’s Mews, London W1K 4EG, lpmlondon.co.uk, 020 7495 4774) is probably one of our top restaurants in London. Everything about the menu is absolute perfection. The lentil salad and the crab and lobster salad are the best, also the veal chop – when we feel like eating meat.

We’re big fans of Yashin  (117-119 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London SW7 3RN, yashinocean.com, 020 7373 3990). They have the most amazing sashimi platter that they serve without soy sauce. Instead, each fish is accompanied by its own special dressing. The favours are incredible!

One of our favourite places in London is the Italian restaurant Oliveto (49 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9PP, olivorestaurants.com, 020 7730 0074). Although the going there will involve some form of carbicide, their paper-thin chargrilled chicken escalope is delicious, and we love their honey frozen yogurt for dessert.

The Good Life Eatery

United by a passion for all things green and good, Shirin and Yasmine have brought on-the-go LA-style healthy eating to west London. The pair opened The Good Life Eatery in 2013. It serves hearty salads, American-style sandwiches, and gluten-free baked treats and has London’s first free-standing cold-pressed juice bar.
