With the leafy Bedford Square to its right and the creative hub and buzzing nightlife of Fitzrovia, Charlotte Street and Soho to its left, there’s no question that Myhotel Bloomsbury is pretty hot property. Inside, its grand Georgian facade opens onto a chic, minimal space courtesy of designers Conran & Partners' feng shui-inspired interiors and a feeling of complete calm amidst the chaos of Central London.

On the surface of it, the fact that each of the floors is themed around the four seasons might sound just a little on the tacky side. It’s not. Each tiny detail has been finished to perfection with autumn browns and tans on the first floor giving way to fiery summer reds on the fourth. From the hand-made beds to the heavy curtains everything is made from natural materials ranging from dark woods and leather to the pure cottons and linens. Space-wise, the rooms are larger than you might imagine for the price tag, while each comes with all the latest in technology in the form of multi-channel flat-screen LCD TVs, work stations for your Macs, speedy WiFi, iPod docks and pin-drop quiet air-conditioning. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean, and products range from the practical Bee Kind range to the more luxe-y Gilchrist & Soames in stylish, grey-tiled surroundings.

If you really feel the need to venture out of the cocoon-like rooms, then downstairs the stress-free environment is continued in the Merkaba bar and the library, where you can settle in with a fresh coffee on one of the enormous sofas. Little stress for a little price: it's a combination that's hard to find fault with.

What’s hot?

- The central location

- The sense of calm you feel the moment you step through the door

- The seamless service from check-in to check-out

- The small touches such as delicious chocolate brownies in all the rooms

What’s not?

- The early closing time of the cocktail bar

- Fitness fanatics might be disappointed with the small gym (but then they can always nip down the road to the Fitness First which the hotel has partnered up with)
