Situated on the sandy shores of Playa d’en Bossa, the new Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel stands heads and shoulders above the island’s other party hotels. With famous DJs playing up to four weekly live sets to the sexiest of crowds by night, and weary days spent zen-ing out on luxurious Balinese beds beside a lavish, crystal-cool pool surrounded by psychedelic mini-figurines, non-stop, full-throttle hedonism is the name of the game here.
Everything at Ushuaia is fine-tuned for party-perfection. For starters, there’s a no-children policy and a very adults-only sort of vibe. Then there’s a central main-stage, rentable private-party rooms complete with fully stocked minibar (well, not so mini, it’s a gigantic Smeg fridge full of champagne and spirits to be exact), neon lighting throughout, onsite fashion boutiques, a spa, incredible Sushi restaurant, beach club and sound-proof nightclub.
After a day spent giving all the hotel’s indulgent facilities a dry-run, it’s up to the room to groom. And what with the light-bulb encircled mirrors (very retro Hollywood, dahling) hairdryers, straighteners, fluffy bathrobes and extensive supply of beauty products, you’re sure to be at home among the crowd of Cavalli-clad clubbers when you re-emerge.
If you have cash to flash, then check into a Presidential suite, which is four times larger than the standard double rooms. Not only will it allow you to host some memorable after parties, but the suites offer jaw-dropping panoramic ocean views, huge king-size beds draped in romantic nets, a large bathtub complete with neon lighting, impressive sound systems… and then some.
