London Fashion Week AW24: ELLE UK Team's Cult Buys

Avril Mair, ELLE UK's Fashion Director: 'The minute I saw these on the AW23 runway I said I’d buy them - and the minute they came into store, I did. Fashion week is about a great flat for me, given how much running around I do, and these feel like a more interesting take on the ubiquitous ballet pump.'

Aurelia Donaldson, ELLE UK's Contributing Editor: 'I am all about a throw on and go dress at the moment and this one by Tove is my current favourite. With shows comes busy schedules and so I like to take the stress out of my fashion week wardrobe.'

Daisy Murray, ELLE UK's Shopping Editor: 'I've never been one for high heels, and I'm even less inclined to totter about when rushing from show to show. Keeping a rotation of interesting flats, be it knee-high boots or high-vamp ballet flats, is therefore key to still feeling polished. Enter Wales Bonner's hypey Adidas collaboration, much recently churning out some pony hair, leopard-print Sambas that are sold out everywhere (apart from resale sites)'.

Laura Antonia-Jordan, ELLE UK's Contributing Editor: 'I learnt the hard (read: expensive) way that panic shopping does me zero favours. So I long ago gave up on buying things for shows, and now pretty much end up wearing what I do on any other working day. Great coats and boots are essential for February. And this Bottega Veneta shirt is something I’ve added to my wardrobe recently.'

Eni Subair, ELLE UK's Fashion Features Editor: 'I love the cushion-y look too them. It's a different look for Clarks and I love that Martine has come together with the brand to release such a broad range of shoes (loafers are available if heels aren't your thing). Along with the plush finish, I adore the brown snake-print as they'll instantly uplift any outfit, but the black are great as a more practical option.'

Naomi Pike, runway reviewer for ELLE UK: 'At a preview for his AW24 collection this week, 16Arlington's Marco Capaldo was wearing a navy sweater of his own design, which had me quickly convinced of its appeal. Though his was an inky blue, I'll instead opt for the cyan iteration, as seen on the SS24 catwalk. It'll be the perfect answer to layer when show venues are freezing cold or to throw over the shoulders when the opposite is true and I'll make like how it was originally styled playing with texture pairings.'
