As well as being a beautiful occasion to celebrate love and mark a modern shift in the royal family's history, the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also served as a great A-List live catwalk.

From Amal Clooney's sunshine yellow Stella McCartney dress to Priyanka Chopra's lilac Vivienne Westwood outfit, the stars were out in full force.

The wedding caught so much global attention that one guest, Lady Kitty Spencer, has revealed how her Instagram follower count grew rapidly after she was seen attending the event at Windsor Castle's St George's Chapel.

'I thought I was in someone else's account,' she told Marie Claire Australia, explaining how she awoke the next day to see the spike. 'I turned off my phone - it was a bit overwhelming. I felt like someone was watching me!'

On the big day, the model looked stunning in a hand-painted green Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with a fascinator in the same shade and accessorised with an orange clutch and shoes.

While anyone with a sizeable social media following can, sadly, expect to receive some trolling and negative comments on their account, Lady Spencer told the magazine it's mainly all been positive.

'I'm lucky, I get lovely messages. It takes a lot to ruffle my feathers and it's not going to be a negative Instagram comment.'
