Last night, Emma Watson gave the people what they want and finally stepped out in a yellow dress while promoting Beauty and the Beast. Worn at a reading at the New York Film Society for Kids, it was a lovely nod to Belle's iconic yellow ball gown.

Here, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Dior came together—with a bit of input from Watson herself.

"I spoke with Emma and we decided together to move this way because it's for her film and it's very close with the story," Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri says. The dress is made of organza and was meant to evoke a "fairy"-like effect.

Emma requested the dress be made with Eco-age fabric. She's been wearing sustainable clothing all throughout the movie's press tour.
