Just over a week since royal baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born, his birth certificate has been released.

The formal paperwork reveals many things, including where exactly his mother, Meghan Markle, gave birth.

With rumours of a home birth, or a visit to the local hospital rife, it has now been revealed she opted for a private hospital called Portland Hospital. According to Hello!, it's the same hospital where Sarah, Duchess of York gave birth to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Jools Oliver and Victoria Beckham also welcomed their children there.

Our favourite bit? Meghan's occupation is now officially 'Princess of the United Kingdom'.

Prince Harry and Meghan's first child was born at 5.26AM 6th May 2019. On the day, the Palace released an official statement detailing that Harry was present for the birth. The statement also said: 'The Duchess's mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.'

Harry gave his first interview as a father alone on the day of his son's birth.

Grinning from ear-to-ear, the 34-year-old told reporters: 'I'm very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy, earlier this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well.

'It's been the most amazing experience I could have ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.

'We're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there. It's been amazing.'

Two days later the glowing new parents stepped out with their newborn for a photo call and subsequently announced his wonderful name via Instagram a couple of hours later.

In their first joint interview after baby Archie's birth, Markle told reporters: 'I have the two best guys in the world.'

The 37-year-old new mother described her tiny son as having the 'sweetest temperament' and being 'really calm.'

'He's just been the dream,' the former actress laughed. 'So, it's been a special couple days.'
