Are you free this weekend?

Well, we just found out Mike Pence is having a leaving party at his house before he enters the residence of the vice-president.

Except, he doesn't want the party, it's not really a surprise and, oh yeah, it's being organised by an LGBTQ activist dance group.

Now, I know what you're thinking.

Isn't Pence that guy who supported a constitutional amendment to ban marriage equality, signed a bill to jail same-sex couples applying for marriage licenses, served on a board of an antigay group and wanted to ensure funding from HIV prevention was diverted to conversion therapy?

Bingo. That's the one.

We have a feeling Pappa Pence is going to love this party. After all, who doesn't love a party?

Of course, this isn't just any party.

According to VICE, activist group WERK for Peace will be holding the dance extravaganza outside Pence's temporary house in Washington, D.C., where they will be throwing about '[biodegradable] glitter and rainbow paraphernalia' in the street.

The mission?

Tell old Mikey that his views on homosexuality, gay marriage and transphobia has no place in the US, the White House and 2017.

In a Facebook invite, those attending have been told to meet at a nearby metro station to Pence's neighbourhood tomorrow night, before they carpool or dance their way to Pence's pad.

Using the hashtags, '#WeAreQueer', '#WeAreHere' and '#WeWillDance', the organizers also urge party-goers: 'Bring your flyest rainbow gear and your booty/body shaking skills!'

The party comes months after the Tony Award-winning musical, Hamilton, stopped proceedings to deliver a speech to Pence to urge him to unite the US when Donald Trump finally comes to power.

Pence, you best get your whistle ready. We're about to party.
