In October 2016, DJ Khaled and his fiancée Nicole Tuck welcomed a baby boy named Asahd. In his few short months on Earth, Asahd has already appeared on several of his dad's single covers, covered XXL magazine, attended the Grammys, Kids' Choice Awards, and iHeartRadio Music Awards, and served as executive producer on his dad's album Grateful. He's also an Instagram star, having started his account @asahdkhaled at the wizened old age of 1 month. This last fact had somehow escaped me until a few weeks ago, when Rihanna shared a photo of herself hugging baby Asahd, at which point I wondered what the hell I had been doing with my life since last November that I didn't know about this glorious account.
In general, I'm not a huge user of Instagram because it makes me feel bad about myself. I unfollow my own friends while they're on vacation, block people who post more than once a day, and absolutely refuse to follow anyone purporting to offer any sort of "inspo." But Asahd Khaled is different. This baby knows what's up. Never have I ever been so happy to follow someone richer than I'll ever be who also is not yet able to poop in a toilet.
