Katie Holmes will star in an adaptation of the bestselling self-help book The Secret.

Penned by Bekah Brunstetter, a writer on This Is Us, the fictionalized version of Rhonda Byrne's book will star Holmes as a mother of three who hires a handyman to do some home repair, and ends up with a whole new philosophy on life. As you do.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film—helmed by Sweet Home Alabama director Andy Tennent—begins with Holmes' young widow hiring a handyman to fix her house during a terrible storm. While this may sound like the setup for a romance novel, in the film it's a pathway to enlightenment, as the handyman grows closer to the family, and "shares his philosophy of believing in the power of the universe to deliver what we want." Byrnes released her own film based on the book, which centers on the concept of "the law of attraction," in 2006.
