Chanel Iman and NFL player Sterling Shepard engaged. The couple made the announcement on Instagram on Saturday night, the day after Iman's 27th birthday. According to the emotional proposal snap they shared, Shepard got down on one knee in a romantic settingâon a rooftop surrounded by candles, overlooking the NYC skyline.
"A night full of tears of happiness," Iman captioned the photo. "I'm beyond excited to spend the rest of my life with you @sterl_shep3 you are my soulmate, my best friend, my everything! Can't wait to be your Mrs. đđ"
The New York Giants wide receiver also shared his excitement. "The catch of my dreams...can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you!" he captioned the shot.
The duo was casually dressed for the occasionâChanel opted for Vans and skinny jeans, elevated by her white fur coatâwhich made the proposal even cuter.
Iman and Shepard, 24, first met at his fellow football player Victor Cruz's birthday party last November, People reports. Apparently, they hit it off right away. "I walked up to her and bought her a drink and it was over after that," Shepard previously told the site.
Since then, Iman has become the NFL star's personal cheerleader, supporting him from the sidelines at his games, and giving him shoutouts on social media. "I say a prayer before his games," the model previously told People. "I know Sterling is very strong and I'm confident when he's playing, but I'm a caring girlfriend, you know."
There's no details on their wedding yet, but we already know that Iman is going to look stunning in her dress.
