Almost a month after her first royal engagement in Nottingham, Meghan Markle is gearing up to make yet another appearance in public with her fiancé next week.

The Mail reports the 36-year-old will join her royal beau, Prince Harry, for a visit to Reprezent 107.3FM in Brixton, South London on Tuesday 9 January, making it her first official engagement of 2018.

Meghan and Harry will reportedly meet presenters, content producers, volunteers and staff involved in the station's training programme, which was set up in Peckham in 2008 in response to the rise in knife crime.

The programme has helped more than 4,000 young people develop and socialise by learning media and workplace skills at the radio station and offers support to young people suffering with mental health issues, a subject close to Prince Harry's heart.

The visit comes amid news Meghan has decided to shun tradition and asked her mother, Doria Ragland, to accompany her down the aisle on her wedding day in May.

Last month, Meghan made her first royal engagement during a visit to the Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair in Nottingham, days after she and Harry announced their plans to wed.

Meghan also recently spent Christmas with the Royal Family in Sandringham, making her the first non-member of the Monarchy to be bestowed the honour.

Earlier this week, Harry told BBC 4's Today programme that Meghan's stay with the family had been a success, telling presenter Sarah Montague: 'It was fantastic, she really enjoyed it.'

'The family loved having her there.'

The newly-engaged couple just celebrated New Year's Eve in the French Riviera but it appears the pair will be straight back to their royal duties come next week.

Alas, there's no rest for the wicked even if you are a royal.
