In the chasm that is the seemingly never ending gap between Game Of Thrones series 8 and 9 (2019? Seriously?!), there's nothing that sates our hunger for a hit of Westeros than a good old internet spawned GOT theory.

The latest one in question? A hint at the possible true identity of everyone's favourite baddie but actually goodie, Tyrion Lannister. The source? None other than Doritos' latest Superbowl ad. Sure...

Airing during the legendary Superbowl half time, the Doritos Blaze commercial stars Peter Dinklage (the actor who plays Tyrion, as if you didn't already know) standing in a burning ballroom whilst lip syncing along to Busta Rhymes 'Look At Me Now'.

The ad ends with a coy Dinklage wryly breathing fire and GOT fans are taking it as a serious hint to his Lannister counterpart's true heritage as a Targaryen.

Stay with us. The Targaryen house sigil is a dragon which classically breathes fire, Daenerys Targaryen also goes by the title of Mother Of Dragons, not to mention owning three of the fantastical creatures, and there's a good amount of GOT background info to suggest that Tyrion's actual parentage wasn't in fact the golden Lannister dream.

So add to that a cheeky film of Dinklage breathing fire and you've got a Game Of Thrones theory with more Twitter power than a White Walker marching south.

Needless to say Twitter had its own thoughts on the theory:

Sidenote: Is it wrong that we're finding a Doritos advert alluring? Don't judge us...
