Part platform and part hiking boot = a whole lotta comfortable in one shoe.
A thousand thank yous to Mrs Prada for kicking off (pun intended) one of the greatest footwear trends in recent memory.
The, wait for it, sensible chunky boot.
Mrs Prada made a case for the big boot on her Autumn Winter catwalk.
She was later joined by an unlikely chunky boot champion, Selena Gomez.
Back in May at the Met Gala - possibly the most terrifying event in the history of red carpets to dress for - Selena was brave enough/coerced by her stylist to try wearing her Louis Vuitton dress with the label's heavy tread boots.
Her look wasn't entirely well received, with social media commentators unable to decide if it was the most ugly thing they'd seen all night.
But then lo and behold, the boot's arriving on the high street and it feels good to pair it with something soft and unexpected.
Unlike Selena's boot though, it is the low-heeled flat versions that are stomping about.
Once overcoming the feeling that a motorbike or walking socks would be a suitable accessory, these might just be your winter go-to shoe.
