The stunning bride's silver lace one-of-a-kind Valentino Couture dress has been shared on the fashion house's Instagram account and the image shows the bride pictured alongside the brand's Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli as they make final preparations for the gown ahead of the wedding.

Congratulations are officially in order for ELLE cover star Benedict Cumberbatch and new wife, Sophie Hunter who got married on Valentine's Day in a church on the Isle of Wight. Details of the very private ceremony are very much under-wraps, including what the pregnant bride wore to walk down the aisle.

The duo announced their engagement in November with a notice in The Times. The traditional announcement reads: 'Mr BT. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London.'

The low-key couple are understood to have gotten together last year, having first met while performing together in Burlesque Fairytales in 2009, and tabloid reports suggest that Benedict recently flew to Edinburgh to ask Sophie’s mum’s permission to propose before going ahead.

The Imitation Game star has always remained tight-lipped on the subject of his love life, although it was clear to ELLE’s Annabel Brog that something was afoot when she interviewed him for our December cover:

‘Benedict is after the fairy tale,’ she wrote.

‘He has been open in the past about wanting marriage and children, then he stopped talking about it – ‘It becomes a national talking point about why I haven’t yet managed that. You know: “Can’t he hold a relationship down?”’

‘But when I ask where he wants to be in 30 years, he says: ‘I can imagine I’ll look back at this point in my life and think, “Wow, that really was extraordinary.” But at the same time, I hope I’m looking back and going, “Oh, that was the moment I got on with life and realised things beyond myself.”

‘…My guess is that Benedict is a man in love, and making plans already.’

Damn, we’re good. And already making predications galore about the (decidedly top-secret) wedding already.

Congratulations, both, from ELLE!
