There are fewer things than we love more than a wedding, but a royal wedding is definitely up there. Particularly when it's as beautiful as the one thrown in Sweden this weekend, to celebrate the marriage of Prince Carl Philip and his ex-reality TV star love Sofia Hellqvist.

Read on for all details...

The Dress

Sofia's traditional white gown boasted a V-neckline, lace sleeves and a substantial train.

It's a bespoke design, created especially for her by Swedish Couturier Ida Sjöstedt.

She added a bouquet of peach roses, a lace-tipped veil and a diamond and emerald tiara (because of course she did).

Her new husband, meanwhile, wore full ceremonial dress.

The Venue

The couple were married in the chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm before doing a short tour of the city in a carriage, waving to wellwishers who lined the streets.

They returned to palace for the wedding breakfast, posing beforehand outside for more pictures.

The Prince addressed the crowds, saying their attendance 'shows Sweden is a warm country with lots of love'. Aw.

The Guests

The guestlist was pretty much a Who's Who of European royalty. Repping for the UK? Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

The Cake

Just when you think this is about as royal as a royal wedding gets, out comes the cake. And instead of a cake, it's actually a cake sculpture. Wearing a crown. Which the newlyweds cut with a sword.

Amazing.

The First Dance

OK, we don't know what the song was - but ten out of ten for those moves.
