Think of Frida Kahlo and what immediately comes to mind (apart from her badass feminist works of art) is her, now iconic, image.
The traditional Mexican woven plaits adorned with fresh flowers, the peachy high blusher and, most infamous of all, her gender stereotype defying monobrow.
Becoming almost as famous as Kahlo herself, her bushy, dark monobrow is now synonymous with the artist's image and in turn her reputation as a rebellious artist within a patriarchal society.
The best bit? With monobrows traditionally thought of as an 'unattractive' feature in modern cultures where body hair goes against female beauty standards, Kahlo chose to accentuate her natural face fuzz using an eyebrow pencil to further enhance her most defining feature.
And we've finally discovered Kahlo's eyebrow pencil of choice - none other than an ebony Revlon eye pencil. The now legendary make-up product is set to be on display in its original packaging for the first time ever in the V&A's exhibition about the artist later this year.
According to The Guardian, the exhibition will include more than 200 of her personal items, including her jewellery, clothing, prosthetic leg, her chosen Revlon blusher (in her favourite shade 'Everything's Rosy') and her nail file.
'This is the real material evidence of the way Kahlo constructed her identity', Claire Wilcox, the exhibition's co-curator, told the publication.
Although the original Revlon eye pencil is no longer in production, the brand informed Refinery29 that their Soft Black Colorstay Pencil is extremely similar.
Kahlo brows here we come!
