The possibility of being upstaged by a bridesmaid is a thought no bride wants to have to consider in the lead-up to their big day.

Yet, it's one that probably crossed the mind of up-coming newlywed, Pippa Middleton, when deciding whether to ask her big sister, Kate Middleton, to act as Maid of Honour on her wedding day.

And when a bride isn't mulling over whether a bridesmaid will outshine her down the aisle, she's often stressing about choosing bridesmaid dresses, hairstyles, shoes and bouquets that will suit each individual's tastes.

So, imagine this predicament and times it by a billion, because this was the issue Victoria's Secret star Ana Beatriz Barros had last year when she asked not one, but 10 models to be her bridesmaids.

Last year, the Brazilian model married businessman Karim El Chiaty on the Greek island of Mykonos, with the likes of fellow catwalk models Alessandra Ambrosio, Fernanda Motta and Isabeli Fontana forming part of her bridal party.

However, despite the common misconception that models would be pretty amenable when it comes to wearing bridesmaids dresses, you know, given the fact their career is to wear thousands of designer gowns throughout their careers without question, Barros reveals it certainly wasn't the case for her 'bride squad'.

'Oh, they [the dresses] were a bit of a nightmare!,' she told HELLO! Fashion Monthly.

'They all wanted something different to wear; one would say, 'I don't look good in pink' then another would say, 'I don't like the style of this or that'.

'Can you imagine, all these models, they're so aware of what works on them and what doesn't so they had all these opinions. And, of course, in the end they all looked amazing, and they would have looked amazing in anything!', she admitted.

They all wanted something different to wear.

According to the publication, the 34-year-old Sports Illustrated model – who has stormed the runway for the likes of Valentino, Gucci, Christian Dior and Versace – walked down the aisle in front of 1500 guests wearing custom-made Valentino, and swapped into three other gowns during the festivities.

Speaking of her big day, she gushed: 'It was simply the best moment of my life. You stand there and think: 'Is this really all for me? Do I deserve all this?' It was just magical.'

However, it sounds like Barros wasn't the only one counting their lucky stars on her wedding day.

'Even my dad was saying on the day, "Oh my goodness, I have never seen so many beautiful women in my life". And afterwards the whole of Mykonos was asking my father-in-law to thank me for bringing all these women to the island,' she joked.

See, even Victoria's Secret models can be nightmare bridesmaids.
