Buckingham palace opened it's ornate doors to some fabulous and fashionable guests last night.

A seven-month pregnant Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, hosted the evening, which was held to celebrate a new creative initiative called the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange.

Wearing yet another gorgeous, Erdem gown, Kate welcomed designers, editors and models alike to launch the enterprise.

The Londoner didn't seem to hold it against anyone, however, and was photographed talking to Sophie, Countess of Wessex and the Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, Caroline Rush.

On it's website, the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange says that its aim is to, 'showcase the power and potential of artisan fashion skills to deliver new networks, trade links and highlight sustainability.'

That's something we can certainly get on board with, particularly if we can nab an invite to the next Buckingham palace soiree.
