Victoria Beckham has a lot to celebrate this week. A day after her 43rd birthday, the fashion designer has received her OBE from Prince William in the investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The former Spice Girl and ELLE's May cover star was recognised for her services to the fashion industry and her charity work across her 17-year career. She was joined by her husband David, who was made an OBE back in 2003, and her parents, the BBC reports.

Speaking after the presentation, Victoria said she was "honoured" and "humbled" to be awarded the prestigious title.

"It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today. I'm proud to be British, honoured and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge.

"If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things.

"I'm so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband; without their love and support, none of this would be possible."

This isn't the first time the British-born fashion star, who became famous as 'Posh Spice' in the Nineties, has been honoured for her contributions to the industry in recent years.

Following her Spice Girls days, she launched her debut collection at New York Fashion Week in 2008. Thanks to her ever popular designs, which have been worn by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet and Eva Longoria, she went on to win the Best Brand prize at the British Fashion Awards in both 2011 and 2014.

Congrats, VB!
