Forget marble worktop surfaces in the kitchen, rose-gold utensils, soft faux-fur furnishings in the living room, and a coffee table adorned with cream roses and matching coasters.

Why? Because, the dream of sleeping in Ariel from The Little Mermaid's bed has finally become a reality. And no, you don't need to be able to breathe underwater or shrink yourself down to the size of a pearl.

#Winning.

Thanks to Portugese furniture company, Circu – which describes themselves as makers of 'magical furniture – you can now get your hands on a clamshell bed, inspired by the Disney film.

Crafted from fiberglass, with built-in lights, and measuring six-feet-tall, the bed might technically be made for children, but we definitely think it's worth crawling into the foetal position and awkwardly contorting our bodies to make ourselves fit.

Look, it could be worse – at least you don't have a mermaid tail to contend with.

The company has even posted videos of its team testing out the bed's health and safety risks and, from the looks of it, there's no chance of being trapped inside the clam anytime soon, which was a real concern of mine.

Death by clam is not the way to go, my friends.

According to HelloGiggles, Circu customers can also purchase a mirror that turns into a television set so they can live out their princess fantasies, be the prettiest of them all and catch up on Netflix, all at the same time.

Real estate website Luxury Listings reports only 30 people worldwide have splurged on items sold by Circu, whose website promises 'unique, exclusive and magical furniture with an exceptional design'.

We have a feeling that might be to do with the fact the clamshell bed costs a whopping £13,000 but, how else are we meant to feel like a princess?

Does anyone know if clamshell furniture qualifies for the government's 'Help to Buy' scheme? Here's hoping.
