You'd think that royal titles, mansions across the world, the likes of Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and former US president Barack Obama on speed dial, plus ridiculously good looks, would be enough to keep Prince Harry and Prince William happy.

But it appears the princes are just like the rest of us and can't resist a chance to play dress-up and act out their childhood dreams once in a while.

Well, that's the news according to the Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor John Boyega who just let slip some shocking news about the princes up-coming royal 'duties'.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4 Today, the host asked Boyega: 'When you last spoke to us on the program, you sort of intimated that yes, Prince Harry and Prince William were in the movie as Stormtroopers. I wonder, can you tell us — do they have lines in the movie? What can you tell us?'

His response?

'I think they took that scene out,' Boyega joked.

'I've had enough with those Prince William secrets, man, cause I swear there were images or whatever online. They came on set, man. They were there, man. Tom Hardy was there too, man. I said it.

He added: 'I'm sick of hiding this! I think someone leaked it or something, then there was like an image of some sort. And I was just like "Oh, damn." Every time I get asked, I don't know how to dodge it — yeah, they were on set.'

The princes visited the Pinewood set in April last year, where they chatted to crew, played with lightsabers, and the Duke of Cambridge admitted he was a 'total geek' over the franchise.

The Daily Mail reported a source revealed the princes had 'filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base.

'The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro's character when a group of Stormtroopers enter - two of whom are William and Harry,' they added.

Earlier this year Gary Barlow and Tom Hardy also hinted they have cameos in the Last Jedi film, making us wonder if we can hit up director Rian Johnson for a role.

I mean, if everyone else is…
