Well that certainly seems to be Selena Gomez and The Weeknd's mindset, as they were this weekend spotted petting pups in New York.
The young couple have been spending time in New York together, being papped out-and-about in typically cool outfits.
According to E! News, 25 year-old Gomez and 27 year-old Abel Tesfaye also spent their Saturday going to a vintage shop, having lunch at a fish bar and then having dinner at a Mexican restaurant.
And it has to be one of the more low-key dates they've had, because we've recently seen Abel fly from Paris to L.A. for Selena's birthday lunch and there was that one time she flew all the way to Amsterdam to see him perform.
According to the fan account, the pair wore three outfits throughout the day, one of which was very matchy-matchy (they do like to dress similarly after all…).
Visiting a pet store, the photos show them crouching in a puppy pen, with Selena grinning as an adorable King Charles Spaniel sits in her lap.
Could this be the next step for the musical duo? A puppy is for life, after all.
