If you're going through a bit of a lull in your career at the moment or want to dedicate your life to a passion project that has you leaping out of bed in the morning, Barack and Michelle Obama might have the perfect opportunity for you.
Nine months since bidding 'adieu' to the White House, the former first lady and 44th president of the US have dedicated their time to developing an exciting scheme called 'The Obama Foundation Fellowship Programme'.
The Fellowship - which is available to applicants over the age of 18 - seeks 'to support outstanding civic innovators from around the world in order to amplify the impact of their work and to inspire a wave of civic innovation', according to its website.
Applicants will have the chance to become one (of 20) members of a fellowship group who will work with experts to develop professionally and personally.
The two-year, non-residential Fellowship will offer hands-on training, resources, and leadership development and has no limit based on age, race, gender, or sexual orientation.
Ideal participants are those who are 'at a tipping point stage' in their careers.
The websites outlines that Barack and Michelle are specifically looking for civic innovators - organisers, inventors, artists, entrepreneurs and journalists - who have 'demonstrated meaningful impact in their communities', different perspectives and people with a 'strong moral character'. They must also be able to 'demonstrate humility and work collaboratively with others towards shared goals'.
Does that sound like you?
Applications to the Fellowship close on Friday 6 October and successful applicants will be notified in February 2018.
Good luck!
