We may only be three days in, but 2018 is already looking like the year of female solidarity.

Fresh from her pregnancy announcement, America Ferrera has shared a picture of her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars affectionately congratulating her on her very exciting baby news.

The 33-year-old actress was joined by Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn and Blake Lively who showed their support by placing their hands on her bump in the adorable Instagram photo.

The coming-of-age film was released over a decade ago, and since then all three stars have become mothers.

Bledel welcomed her first child child with actor husband Vincent Kartheiser in 2016, Tamblyn had a daughter with husband David Cross last year, and Lively has two daughters with Ryan Reynolds.

And Bledel, Tamblyn, and Ferrera are also godparents to Lively's girls, James and Ines.

Ferrera added the caption: 'Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood. We've got work to do for the next generation.

'Let's get to it. #TIMESUP.'

The Ugly Betty star was referring to the new initiative launched by fellow prominent women in Hollywood, which aims to fight systemic sexual harassment in all workplaces nationwide in the US.

Over 300 leading actresses, female agents, writers, directors, producers, and entertainment executives launched Time's Up this week, which includes a legal defence fund to 'help less privileged women — like janitors, nurses and workers at farms, factories, restaurants and hotels — protect themselves from sexual misconduct and the fallout from reporting it'.

Meanwhile, Ferrera confirmed her pregnancy with husband Ryan Piers Williams in a cute New Year post on Instagram.

Sharing a photo of herself and Williams holding a 'Más besos (por favor)' onesie, she added the caption: 'We're welcoming one more face to kiss in 2018! Wishing you #MásBesos in the New Year! #babybesos #HappyNewYear.'
