In the lead up to a wedding, it's common place for a bride-to-be to be put through her paces. From discussing seating plans, and choosing bridesmaids dresses, to organising the venue, and make-up artists, planning your big day is more like a military operation than a laid-back weekend shindig.

The Daily Express reports that the 36-year-old former actress recently spent two days in the English countryside to undergo security training sessions before she officially becomes royal.

The exercises reportedly included a 'kidnap and rescue' situation, in which forces from the Royal Army's SAS regiment used live ammunition while rescuing the Californian beauty from a fake kidnapping.

A former SAS officer told the publication that the live ammunition would be used to help Markle learn what 'real gunfire' sounds like if she ever finds herself in a hostile situation.

Markle would have also been taught how to create a relationship with potential kidnappers, which is apparently better than trying to escape.

She also reportedly learned the best ways to act in worst-case scenarios, like if her rescuers gets shot and she has to look after herself.

But rest assured, the Suits star isn't the only soon-to-be royal that's undergone such intense training. The Express explains that every member of the royal family has gone through similar training over the years.

The news comes weeks after Prince Harry and Meghan were caught up in an anthrax scare after a 'racist' poison pen letter containing white powder was reportedly addressed and sent to the couple.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's counter-terrorism command were called into St James' Palace after the letter was received on 12 February. The Police were reportedly treating the case as a 'racist hate crime'.

And we thought choosing between lemon and banana cake was tricky.
