The time has finally come!

Following weeks of speculation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made their first official appearance at the 2017 Invictus Games. However, they were not sitting together.

Harry was seated next to First Lady Melania Trump, whom he met for the first time earlier in the day, and near Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Markle was seated in a separate VIP area of the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, according to multiple reports. She was pictured next to her friend, Markus Anderson, a consultant to Soho House Group, who is said to be the one who first introduced Markle to the prince. The actress was wearing a purple leather jacket over a plum dress and carried a matching clutch bag.

The Paralympic-style sport event, which honours injured servicemen and women, is currently taking place in Toronto, Canada where Markle films legal drama Suits.

The couple have made very few public appearances since they started dating over a year ago, and this rare public outing marks Markle's first step into the royal spotlight.

It's also likely to add further fuel to those engagement rumours, which have been swirling ever since Markle told the world 'we're in love' in her recent Vanity Fair interview.

And with a meeting with the Queen also said to have taken place, many royal fans are already hearing wedding bells.

During his time at the Games, Prince Harry will be meeting competitors from all over the world, visiting training sessions and addressing the crowd with a speech at the Closing Ceremony on 30 September.

It's not clear if Markle will be joining her royal beau at other events, but it's safe to say this latest sighting of the couple marks a major relationship milestone.
