I woke up hating my alarm with a passion today, and it seems the models are feeling it too by now; there are more girls on the floor than there are standing at this point. Another day of natural hair followed (easy for us to do at home), and a definite continuation of the monochromatic make up with accents of red theme we've been seeing. Now, onto the important bit:

The Food

A very very early start (Tom Pecheux and Odile Gilbert kept congratulating us on making it to hear them talk us through the looks) a hearty breakfast was in order. Since it was 26 degrees today we channelled our inner Carrie Bradshaw (remember THAT episode with Ginger Spice?) and went to the rooftop at Soho House. Oh the avocado on toast and side of sausage was the stuff of dreams. Starter was a pastry from the catering at Badgley Mischka.

The Shows

Badgley Mischka

HIGHLIGHT: Well we all know I love a lip. Tom Pecheaux created this 'youthful' matte coral by mixing two powdery finish MAC shades. The perfect antidote to the elegant, grown up red carpet styling of the collection.

Rodarte

HIGHLIGHT: Easily the beautifully crafted Rodarte hair barettes, but the nails were interesting too. In person they look like a silver tip and a gold half moon, with a sheer peach wash over the negative space. In pictures they kind of look a bit grubby, don't you think? Not sure how wearable it is with this in mind, but I appreciated the whole aesthetic.

Secret Addresses

I took full advantage of a spare half hour and found myself on the most dangerous street in NYC: Wooster. This is because it has a Celine and a Chanel store (lock up your credit cards), but even worse, I stumbled across Byredo. We already know it in the UK as an amazing niche fragrance brand, but here there is a brand new bag collection too, and my goodness is it amazing. Perfect combo of form and function, I am only sad I don't have a spare $2,500 plus for the one on the left. I'd best stick to the candles...

What I Wore

Today you chose me a ruby red Charlotte Tilbury lipstick to go with my colorblock Cos dress and Asos shoes. I also did a braided 'hun' to disguise fact I have no time to wash it, and I felt quite good about it.

My Beauty

My eyes were way too tired and sore for contacts so I needed simple navy with my Tom Ford frames. Thank you for choosing the Sophia Webster shoe option for me, they're pretty comfy to run around in. I popped into the TRESemme Style hub pop up on West 14th Street for a recreation of the Oscar De La Renta smooth waves look. I love not having to do my own hair for fashion week. Great perk.
