Here's the thing, Demetria Obilor looks like the best anchor we have ever seen.

The traffic reporter on Dallas' Channel 8 is an upbeat, personable queen who, alongside obvious talent, is also downright gorgeous.

Unfortunately, some people aren't seeing what we do, and decided to body-shame Obilor in a Facebook post.

A Twitter user screen grabbed the ignorant post and shared on Twitter. It read:

Has anyone seen Channel 8's new morning traffic reporter? Her name is Demetria Obilor & she's a size 16/18 (UK size 20/22) woman in a size 6 (UK size 10) dress and she looks ridiculous. I understand that when I watch Channel 8 I'm going to get biased reporting and political correctness, but clearly taken complete leave of their sense. I'm not going to watch Channel 8 anymore.

Firstly, we're confused as to which Demetria Obilor she's talking about because she looks far from 'ridiculous' to us.

Secondly, there is obvious prejudice here, since this kind of form-fitting, colour-blocking dress is very standard for News Anchors in the US to wear.

The Tweet picked up steam, with 33k likes, and 13k Retweets.

Even Chance the Rapper got in on the outrage, Tweeting, 'BIIIIIIG MAD' at the comment.

Obviously not one to let others speak for her, Obilor posted a video onto her own social media, with the caption:

Some people have a problem with my shape and the way that I look on television. Just taking a moment to address that and show love to all of the ppl who show love to me. Including@chancetherapper! You all are appreciated ♥️💋✊🏽swipe to see what went down today ▶️ ..ppl say the MOST. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Her message of positivity and body-confidence is most definitely something we can get behind. More women like Obilor on TV please.
