How to Keep on Running

We promise this will work

On Saturday We Owned The Night! We ran 10K. For fun (we didn’t think we’d be saying that a few months back).

Most of us trained hard for it to ensure we didn’t cop out half way around the course (we noticed a fair few pubs lining the race route). No, the lure of a G&T didn’t stop us reaching the finish line. But will you retire now, with a 10K under your belt? Will you let all that hard work from the last few months slip from your grasp? Stay strong, keep running, this is only the beginning.

The best advice we can give you? Sign up for another run be it a charity fun run, another 10K or even a half marathon. Give yourself a new challenge to aim for. You owe it to yourself to keep up the good work. You’ve proved you can do it once, you can do it again.

Check out Running Diary, a directory of races in Britain where you can search by race distance and postcode. And don’t think here at ELLE HQ we’ll be hanging up our trainers because we have more dedicated running content planned for the magazine and the website.
