It's a rare day that goes by without the entire ELLE desk cooing over Queen Bey's latest pregnancy photo shoot/super fun work out/philanthropic quest to provide student scholarships, but when it comes to being a bit too cool for school, it's B's younger sister Solange who wins in those stakes.

From her epic natural hair and the right way to work Mardi Gras glitter, to nonchalantly wearing top-to-toe lavender lycra, Solange has the whole effortless high fashion hipster goddess thing down.

Don't even get us started on her insanely Insta-worthy all white wedding.

So when her make-up artist Dana Delaney revealed to The Cut every product she used on the Losing You singer to create her festival-proof skin, let's just say our attempt at playing it cool was poor at best.

How To Nab Solange's Flawless Skin

Speaking to The Cut, Delaney divulged the secrets behind the Coachella performer's perfect complexion: 'I cleansed her skin with Bioderma's water cleanser, and then I used Bioderma's hydrating serum. I used that around the face and not in the center.

'In the center of the face I like to use a mattifying gel like Givenchy's Mister Mat, and that helps absorb any sweat and control shine. To get a little extra moisture without adding a heavy moisturizer, I like to use a hydrating spray. I usually use Urban Decay's B6 Prep and Priming Spray.'

The final touch? Our old high school friend, the trusty blotting paper. 'After I do all the skin care I usually blot off any extra moisture with blotting papers. Solange really likes the Clean & Clear ones, so that's what I use for her', says Delaney.

So far, so we're clicking 'add to basket'. But what about foundation? Getting a solid skincare base down means Delaney is all about spot concealing.

'I'm not going to lie and say: "No one needs to use foundation." Obviously people have things they'd like to mask, but I say that less is more. Just spot conceal where you need it.'

Yup, you heard correctly, Solange is a foundation-free zone.

What else would you expect from the woman who made outside the lines eyeshadow a thing?

'I sparingly used the Glossier stretch concealer in dark, and used a fluffy brush to feather it wherever she needed coverage', says Delaney. 'We like to keep it pretty simple, so I just mixed By Terry Glow-Expert Duo Stick in Amber Light with my fingertips and dabbed that across her cheekbones.'

Et voila! One red-carpet worthy complexion. Just add awesomeness.
