Looking at 22 year-old Jourdan Dunn - face of and ruling queen of the and Jonathan Saunders catwalks – you could easily imagine her life consists solely of champagne-fuelled parties, body-perfecting personal training sessions and celebrity hobnobbing. Being driven around by a private chauffeur – at the very least.

Think a non existent exercise regimen and a full English breakfast, ("hold the hash browns – I can’t stand them") at Poco Loco café in Ealing where she lives with her two year-old son, Riley - or a Pornstar Martini at Westfield's Meat and Wine Co steakhouse after a stop-off at House of Fraser’s Bobbi Brown counter and a rummage in Whistles – and you’d be closer to the mark. She even looks sheepish as she admits to temporarily having a car to whisk her between the multiple shows she busts out during Fashion Week each day.

But she does have friends with faces in high places. On the style circuit, she hangs out backstage with Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss and Sessilee Lopez: "They're all real, funny girls. We have a good laugh together".

It’s the laughs and an iPod loaded with Lil Wayne and Beyoncé that get her through the long, long days of wardrobe changes, lipstick switches and hairspray induced spluttering of the backstage bunfight.

"I just put my DRE Beats on, turn up the volume and zone out from the madness," she says, thumbing through her playlist as the tension reaches fever pitch minutes before the start of the Topshop Unique show.

We get a sneaky feeling that the clothes, clothes and more clothes do however provide more than enough compensation for the stressful whirlwind that's just par for the fashion course. Like all girls, she likes playing dress up. "My favourite looks so far this season? I love everything Alexander Wang does. The kick-ass superhero outfit I wore at Rodarte is definitely up there too – and at the other end of the spectrum, the couture dress I walked in at Marchesa was beautiful ".

As for trends, she says she’s far too busy trying to navigate her own lightening fast wardrobe changes to get any kind of perspective on the bigger picture. Yet superhero dresses and leather leggings aside, she's pretty low maintenance. She had a rare massage at The Sanctuary Spa a few weeks ago and her post-show LFW evenings have been spent slathered in Sisley's Black Rose Cream Mask watching old Friends reruns.

Yes, there's the odd night out clubbing in Aura and DSTRKT. But frankly, we'd rather meet fashion's friendliest model for breakfast. You never know, after a good old cup of builder's and a hash brown-free breakfast, she might even let us reveal her top-secret crush.

Did someone say Chris Brown?
