Last week, Leslie Jones had the best time at Christian Siriano's spring 2018 runway show, and tonight, she's looking the best, decked out in a gown from the designer at the 2017 Emmys.
"It's her first Emmy nomination, so it's a big moment for her," Siriano told us over the phone ahead of the awards show. "We're making her super glamorous to show everybody that she's stunning, which is exciting."
"Her dress is a sheer, black beaded—very covered up, but still super sexy. She wanted to show people that she really has an amazing body, which people don't give her [credit for], so that's what we're giving her."
Siriano dressed several nominees tonight, and wanted to create statement moments that people would remember whether or not they took home awards."Especially for Leslie, I was like listen, even if Leslie doesn't win, she's going to look so stunning. I hope people just take it back―you could never imagine that a year ago, people weren't trying to send clothes to her, because she's so great."
