Not only because British movie Atonement swept the board with 14 nominations, including best film, best director, best screenplay and best actor nods for stars Keira Knightly (pictured) and James McAvoy, but also because finally we will be getting a red carpet (and the fashion parade that comes with it) in London come 10th February.
Alongside Atonement, American Gangster, The Lives of Others, No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood were all nominated for best film. While Cate Blanchett, who won a Golden Globe this week for her role as Bob Dylan in I'm Not There, was nominated for best actress for Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Marion Cotillard will be running against Cate and Keira for best actress, for her portrayal of Edith Piaff in La Vie En Rose - which she won a Golden Globe for this week (quite right too - we loved it).
With the Golden Globes behind us and now the BAFTA nominations announced, all eyes are on Oscar nominations, which should be released at the end of January. It looks like our Keira will be treading that red carpet as a nominee again (she was nominated in 2006 for Pride and Prejudice) but just what will she be wearing?
