As the Oscars of fashion, the Met Gala is a sartorial playground for Hollywood to experiment with its style. There have been headpieces and sweeping trains, a boatload of feathers and jewels over the years, and some of the most breathtaking fashion moments we've ever seen. In advance of this year's event—a retrospective on Rei Kawakubo and her line Comme des Garçons—we're looking at what some of our favorite red carpet stars have worn throughout the years.
