Hedi Slimane's role at Saint Laurent expands

Changes afoot at Saint Laurent

Changes are afoot over at Yves Saint Laurent.

According to WWD the current CEO and man responsible for hiring Hedi Slimane, Paul Deneve, is leaving - for Apple, no less - and will be replaced in September by Francesca Bellettini, currently an executive director at Bottega Veneta.

So far so corporate. But the reshuffle means that Hedi’s role at the label is set to expand. Never one to shy away from the finer details of the business – not only does he design the collections he also shoots the campaigns, oversees the show seating plans and keeps a close eye on just how the staff in his stores look – he is now adding ‘supervise all strategic projects for the brand’ to his to do list.
