Formerly design director of ’s T line, Danielle Sherman is -bound.

The 30-year-old – who also cut her teeth on – starts work in the role of creative director today, replacing Sharon Wauchob, who has helmed the eco-friendly label for three years and is leaving to focus on her own-name label.

The appointment of Sherman is a significant one for Edun, which was founded in 2005 by Ali Hewson and her rockstar husband Bono. Not only does she come with a ‘cool brand’ association, but she is to be the label’s first full-time creative director, based at its New York headquarters.

‘Coming from her success with two well-respected brands, Danielle brings her experience and strong design sensibility to Edun,’ Hewson commented to WWD. ‘Bono and I are impressed by her creativity and believe her unique approach and vision will help grow the brand.’

Edun is part-owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which acquired a 49% stake in 2009.
