Mulberry, under the creative direction of Emma Hill, have been garlanded with a prestigious luxury award at the Walpole Luxury awards in London. Mulberry beat other nominees Burberry, Harrods and to the title.
Another of our favourite Brit brands, Burberry, received the award for Best Luxury Brand Online.
Although the ceremony was primarily a celebration of luxury brands and their creators, the Walpoles decided to honour two athletes, Olympic swimmer Katherine Grainger and Paralympic sprinter Johnnie Peacock - with special Walpole Medals of Excellence, in recognition of their outstanding sporting success.
Previous recipients of this medal have included photographer Mario Testino, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Annie Lennox and Dame Judi Dench.
Walpole is a not-for-profit organisation that represents the British luxury industry and over 175 leading luxury brands including Harrods, Burberry and Jimmy Choo.
