You dont need to have bought into the kult of the Kardashians to know who they are. Eldest sister Kim is a modern-day phenomenon, a legitimate cultural obsession Type her name into google and you get 233million hits. (Thats four times more than Julia Roberts, FYI.)
But Kims younger sister, Kendall? Just four weeks ago the only people who knew anything about her were One Directioners (she briefly dated Harry Styles) and Keeping Up with the Kardashians viewers, who will remember her fondly as a behind-the-scenes wrecking ball. She had her moments most notably when she filmed her mother peeing in a public loo, or when Kris explained those snaps of her big sisters to her but she was never the main event.
Until now.
Now, if you type the letters 'ke' into google, Kendall's name is the third suggested search phrase (after 'kerboodle' and 'kent online'). She generates 90million hits.
Some time over the past month, 18-year-old Kendall the second-youngest and first-leggiest of the Kardashian Klan (even though she is actually a Jenner) has exploded into the international psyche. Kendall is a bona-fide fashion model with a future.
This season, she walked for , , and . And, yes, the name may have helped at the casting calls, but dont kid yourselves: Karl, Marc, Giles and Riccardo do not risk brand credibility on a surname.
Girl was fierce on those catwalks. She killed it. Even the fashion editor who was overheard sniffily remarking, If you throw enough Céline at it, it becomes a style icon was caught taking a selfie with her 30 minutes later.
