With the G8 summit now in session in London, Enough Food for Everyone is highlighting the issue of global hunger. In an event in Londons Hyde Park on Saturday 8 June, a slew of celebrities including Rita Ora, David Beckham and Gemma Arterton pledged their support. Beckham said, "In the next few weeks, G8 leaders could decide the fate of millions of children around the world. I want them to stop the scandal of hunger."
British designers also showed their support, calling on people to wear their UK-made, 100% recyclable IF wristbands to raise cash for and consciousness of the campaign. Each of the high-profile fashion names was asked about the biggest WHAT IF in their own personal lives
WHAT IF I had never met Pauline?
WHAT IF Karl Lagerfeld hadn't spotted me?
WHAT IF I could live forever, where would fashion take us?
WHAT IF I had followed my family profession as a Doctor?
WHAT IF three wasnt the magic number?
WHAT IF we had never met?
WHAT IF I didn't leave Paris?
WHAT IF we hadnt met at London College of Fashion?
Wristbands are available at enoughfoodif.org/shop or at Oxfam and Save the Children shops nationwide for a suggested donation of £1 each.
