The buzz surrounding this year’s hottest high-street hook-up, the collaboration between River Island and Rihanna, shows no sign of dying down and today it’s got an extra boost thanks to a new behind the scenes film.
Announced back in July 2012, the collection is set to be unveiled during London Fashion week on 16 February before hitting stores on 5 March. So far, to whet our appetite, we’ve seen the singer herself wearing a navy jumpsuit from the collection, as well as pictures tweeted from the campaign shoot. And now River Island has released a film showing Rihanna examining pieces from the collection, as well as talking about why she decided to do it – and why she loves British style.
She also reveals a bit about what has inspired her collection. 'My style is definitely influenced by my mood so my collection will definitely have a range of different moods, different attitudes, because I’m assuming my fans will be the same way,' she says. 'The collection is casual, it’s chic, it’s flirty I wanted it to be for all body types, I wanted all different types of girls to really want to wear it and feel comfortable in it but still feel edgy, I wanted character to come out in the clothes without trying to hard.'
