Roland Mouret is bringing his signature tailoring to the high street.

The designer has announced that he is creating a 25-piece capsule collection for Banana Republic, the big sister brand to Gap, with whom he had a sell-out in 2006

Featuring a simple, clean colour palette and graphic cuts, the range is bound to fly off the rails and straight into every working woman’s wardrobe. Dresses, for which Mouret is famous, will form the cornerstone of the collection, but there are also skirts, tops, trousers and sweaters.

‘It’s not a copy of my clothes in a less expensive version, but the experience of a fitted dress for the Banana Republic customer,’ said Mouret. ‘You should be able to try on a dress that fits you like a glove.’

The collection will land in Banana Republic stores worldwide in August.
