Although Arizona Muse is one of the most in-demand supermodels in the world, she has an air of practicality about her. She looks like the kind of girl who could change her own flat tyre, for example, rather than someone who would stand helplessly by the side of the road.

So we’re not surprised that Marc Jacobs picked her to star in first ever TV commercial, shot by photographer and director duo Inez and Vinoodh, in which Arizona is the protagonist in an intrepid, yet glamorous adventure.

The scene is set in the Louvre, Paris, where our model heroine finds a key, unlocking the secrets of how to fly a hot air balloon, which she duly does, and in the words of the brand, ‘leaves the Louvre for a far-off destination in pursuit of her destiny.’

As well as the theme of the ad and the ethos of the brand being travelling, has an inherited link to the famous Paris art gallery, being ‘the cradle of the house, home of Empress Eugénie who appointed Louis Vuitton as her official packer.’
