Helen Mirren is a wise, wise woman.

She speaks publicly, and without reserve about her disdain for the word 'sexy' (she thinks it reductive) as well as her choice not to have children.

Filmed interviews from the 70s often resurface of Mirren batting away sexist questions with aplomb, she died her hair pink for the 2013 Baftas (she was 67-years-old then) and we recently learnt that 50 Cent fancies her.

In short, she is amazing.

But you already knew that, right? And so did the powers that be at Tulane University in New Orleans, who asked her to speak at their graduation ceremony on Sunday.

After donning the stylish green, blue and gold traditional garbs (over a quite fabulous cheongsam-style dress) she took to the podium to drop some golden nuggets of wisdom.

She opened the speech with with a little Queen Elizabeth impression, and could have finished there.

The hilarious speech saw her make gags about her numerous nude scenes as well as one about President Trump.

It turns out the 72 year-old Shakespearean actress could not resist poking fun at the most mockable public figures of our time.

She told the audience that an important element of a commencement speech should be advice the students can remember 40 years from now.

Her advice?

'Whether you're in Tipitinas, the French Quarter, or the Oval Office, no good can ever come from Tweeting at 3am.'

The President's infamous late-night Tweeting got a roaring response from the crowd, and we think it's pretty sound advice as well as being hilarious.

You can check out the mic-drop worthy moment about nine minutes into this video, though, you could probably benefit from listening to the whole thing.
