Kendall Jenner is said to have been hospitalised on Sunday night before her appearance at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars bash.

The model, who has been absent from the runway at fashion month, is said to have had a thankfully brief visit to Cedars Sinai hospital in Beverly Hills before her red carpet appearance.

Wearing a Redemption black, avant-garde LBD, she looked the picture of health on the evening, despite her swift pit-stop to the doctors.

According to The Blast the author had suffered a bad reaction to a vitamin drip she had used.

Popular amongst the A-list, the drips are said to give their users a visible glow and renewed energy by delivering vitamins directly to the blood stream. They can, however, give adverse reactions.

Teen Vogue reached out to Sonia Patel, PharmD, to find out a little bit more about what can go wrong:

A vitamin drip is a dose of vitamins that's slowly infused into your body through a needle in your arm. If you've ever seen or had a saline IV in the hospital, it looks a little like that. Because the nutrients in the drip skip your digestive system and go straight into your bloodstream, you can feel their benefits faster and in a more concentrated form (proponents often say they experience more energy, better immunity, and glowing skin). But since you're bypassing natural defence organs, like the liver, you're also more at risk for allergic reactions if the ingredients aren't well regulated or monitored. While rare, these reactions can happen if your drip contains harmful additives, herbs, or a nutrient dose that's too high. In addition, some people can experience bruising, infection, or vein inflammation.

We know from Keeping Up With The Kardashians that 22 year-old Jenner is prone to anxiety around events, so this probably didn't help. Hopefully she was still able to have a fabulous evening - she certainly looked the part.
