Despite expressing an early hope that her severe morning sickness wouldn't impact too much on her official engagements, the Duchess of Cambridge continues to pull out of engagements due to her condition.

The latest event to get the chop is a trip to Portsmouth, Hampshire, to meet with Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup sailing team on Monday, the Express reports.

Kate was also unable to attend a children's event hosted by charity The Art Room - one of the charities of which is she patron - last week, but sent a hand-written letter to be read out on the day. Her high profile solo visit to Malta last month was also canned.

Of future events, Kensington Palace says: 'Her engagements are being reviewed on a case by case basis.

'Any future engagements will be announced in due course.'

Kate hasn't been seen in public since it was announced she was pregnant with her second baby on 8 September. As with her pregnancy with Prince George, she is suffering with medical condition hyperemesis gravidarum.

Meanwhile, there's doubly joyous royal baby news on the international horizon: it's been confirmed that Princess Charlene of Monaco is expecting twins.
