He's spent from the proposal - financially and emotionally - and will pick up involvement again when it's time for the music and his speech. I thought at first this was bravado but after every question I ask about, I think critical, decisions like time of year, which church or venue is answered with "I really don't care, whatever you like", I think his indifference is genuine.

Given that we got engaged in December, we want to get married as quickly as possible but, with a busy job, I'm nervous about turning a wedding around by summer, we're plumping for December 2011 and in London. New Year's Eve is a Saturday and I got incredibly over-excited about being in the centre of the capital with all my loved ones, seeing in the new year and life together, perhaps in a riverside location to benefit from the Thames fireworks? How magical midnight would be...! SCRAPPED. Bands, DJs, photographers, videographers and god knows what else charge a criminal fee that night and I'd want everyone to have another round of champagne at midnight, all of which completely shatters the budget.

So we're (I'm) looking at December, Christmassy theme, candlelight, fur, church then central London location for dinner and dancing. At least something to go on now but I need some ideas. I'd love it if you'd send in pictures of your big day for possible publication and give me something to go on. It could be detail shot of your flowers, a great hidden location you found, your dress, the chairs, anything...

Send your images (portrait is preferable) with details of the couple's names, the items shown in the pictures and where you found them to elleukweddings@hf-uk.com
