13/07/21: Scarlett Johansson Reveals Most 'Stressful' Part Of Wedding To Colin Jost

Scarlett Johansson has once again opened up about the secret wedding she and now-husband Colin Jost staged in October of 2020.

The 36-year-old actor wed Saturday Night Live cast member Jost in an intimate ceremony, believed to have taken place at their home in Palisades, New York.

Speaking via videolink on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the Black Widow star admitted that corralling Jost's many, ageing family members was one of the most 'stressful' parts of the day.

'It was a little stressful,' she said. 'Colin, as you know, is very fortunate that he has his grandparents still with him and there are several people in their 90s in his family. The Josts live forever! They live so long! And it's crazy. And they are lively and vibrant and they were at our wedding and so obviously we wanted to take every precaution that we could, so we we had the masks made [that said] 'Josts 2020.' And everybody had to get tested 100,000 times,' she explained of the pandemic precautions that they deemed necessary to make the wedding a safe place to be.

'It definitely was a weird party favour that could only happen now,' the actor admitted of the personalised face masks. '

'We were just so happy to see people that we hadn’t seen in such a long time. We just felt very fortunate to be able to get together like that,' she finished.

22/04/21: Scarlett Johansson Opens Up About Secret Wedding To Colin Jost For The First Time

Scarlett Johansson has discussed her wedding to Saturday Night Live cast member and head writer Colin Jost for the first time.

The couple married in October 2020 in a small private ceremony in line with Covid-19 social distancing restrictions. The world learned about their nuptials through the charity Meals on Wheels America, which also encouraged donations through a picture of the Staten Island Ferry with the words, 'Jost Married' above the ferry.

Johansson has now shared that her wedding to Jost was 'intentionally intimate' which worked well considering the limitations placed upon weddings at the time.

'I think just keeping it intimate and small made it feel intentional,' the Black Widow star told People. 'We wanted it to feel like it had an intentional intimacy as opposed to being something that felt like we were restricted by all these things.'

Johansson elaborated that the event was in line with guidelines from the Centre for Disease Control and that a priority for herself and Jost was to make sure 'everybody was comfortable and safe'.

'We were just so happy to be able to celebrate with our family,' the actor told the magazine. 'Some people we hadn't been able to really see so much over this past year. So that was really special ... We felt really fortunate that we were able to do it.'

The wedding is said to have taken place at the actors home in Palisades, New York with only a few family members and friends present.

While Johansson has not commented on the wedding much before, Jost - who presents the Saturday Night Live news sketch 'Weekend Update' with Michael Che on the comedy show - told Entertainment Tonight in February that he left most of the wedding planning up to his wife.

'I don't pretend to know much about things or have taste in things. I'm very happy to rely on someone who has a lot better taste and knowledge of things... I never grew up imagining my dream wedding, like, this is what I want. I imagined my dream partner rather than my dream wedding.'

Congratulations to Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost who are now married!

The Black Widow star tied the knot with her Saturday Night Live presenter fiancé in a private ceremony in New York State, reports TMZ.

The nuptials were confirmed by the charity Meals on Wheels America, which like the UK version provides readily prepared meals for vulnerable older people at their homes, who shared a picture of the Statten Island Ferry crossing the Hudson River with the slogan 'Jost Married' in big letters above.

The organisation said they were 'thrilled' to break the news and confirmed that the couple wedded in an 'intimate' ceremony attended by their immediate family and loved ones where all guests adhered to Covid-19 social distancing safety precautions recommended by the CDC (Centre for Disease Control).

The post said Johansson and Jost's wedding wish was 'to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time' so encouraged donations where possible.

The couple became engaged in May 2019, with Johansson displaying her beautiful pear-shaped engagement ring at Comic Con and various red carpet outings with Jost.

The pair began dating shortly after the Marriage Story actor appeared as a guest star on SNL in 2017 but she previously recalled first meeting him in 2010 on the show.

In December, the mother-of-one hosted the iconic comedy sketch show for the sixth time, saying: 'This place means so much to me. I have so many friends here and I met the love of my life here,' before kissing Jost in front of the live audience.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
